Hey now! How goes it? You made it to Saturday, January 30, 2021, and that right there is a good thing! The past few days I have been tuning out of the world and painting. The news and just seeing comments from social media acquaintances was fraying my nerves a bit. I am ever so glad that my sons and daughter are not into conspiracy theories or trying take over the government. I guess all the “If you get taken to jail, don’t call me to bail you out!” I mostly said that as I knew I could never afford to bail them out should something happen and I was not one to ask for help. Not really. I had to put a fear into them about going to jail and flying in semi-straight line. Anyhow, how can anyone stand behind those senators and their baseless, imagined claims? The stink of the big cheese lingers. So, I mostly, slept, watched really cheesy movies (I just watched White Chicks for the umpteenth time, make hundred and 99th time). I have no shame in proclaiming that I frigging love that movie and can recite most of all characters lines. I also found a couple of my faves when I was looking for that CD that I can’t find. One of them is the chick flick, The Sweetest Thing. I won’t review it or tell you what the story is about but Christina Applegate was genius in this movie. It also rained, for a bit here in the valley, however, the mountains are covered in white and Palm Springs even got a snow. A true gift from Mother Nature.
Oh, for shits and giggles, here is one of the scenes from my favorite chick flick, The Sweetest thing, sorry, no, not sorry! Ha hA!!! It’s the weekend and this is my blog, enjoy or don’t . Fair warning they say PENIS a bunch of times!
So, yeah, I have been avoiding sitting at my desk and typing. Only a few more weeks and the weather will be warmer and I will get a bit of relief as Arthur Itis will be a quieter house guest. Another cool realization is that I can actually make plans to redecorate our place. I have never felt at home, almost like I have been cooking in another woman’s kitchen. It is no secret, Hubby and I both had very full lives before we got married and the ghost of our past lives kept lingering but that spirit has been exorcised. Alsoo, it has taken almost seven years to start changing our place as I have always rented and could never change the wall colors and such, old habits die hard. Anyhow, we are getting new flooring and it has just been fun looking at all the different colors and trying to reimagine our place. We have had cement floors since the plumbing issue a few years ago. For the first time ever, I just bought a new couch and chair that no one has never owned before! I almost feel like an adult. Hubby is okay with my idea to change our upstairs bedroom into a den/studio! Who needs a she shed when I got a master bedroom to convert! Really though, I was stuck for a few years and yes, I am going to point the finger at the medication that I was on as I haven’t felt hopeful and my mind seems clearer. There are still a few residual affects that linger, the eye pain and the upper right quadrant pain is getting checked out next week. I know that I have gallstones as during the long road to find out what was wrong with me, they found that I had small gallstones and kidney stones, but ruled them out as causing pain and issues before my big surgery. Just another thing to deal with but at least I know that I can rest a little better knowing that Hubby rolled his sleeve and got the shot! YAY! I still have to wait but know that just the fact that he got vaccinated, lowers his chance of getting sick and bringing it home to me. Thank you Hubby and all you people that are rolling up your sleeves for the shot! Y’all rock!!! For that, here is a song break, please press play…
Our anniversary is coming up in a few weeks. I have never been one to give conventional gifts, that is when I can afford to buy gifts. Anyhow, I have mentioned that I shoot photos with hopes of reimagining them. Until a few days ago, the Topamax demons that lived my head, made me feel like I was not capable of anything. I had started painting things to just keep my mind sharp and to keep me from watching the news. A few days ago, something just clicked and now I am painting a few for Hubby to gift to him on our day. The first painting I did was a photo from that moment when we were pronounced “Husband and Wife’. Is it perfect, naw, but that is the thing about art and music is you make it your own, your style will show through, no matter what. Oh, I am not good at keeping secrets or surprises….I had to show him!
The cool thing I learned is that the local dollar store has so much craft and painting supplies! I think I spent a total of twenty or so bucks to get canvas’ and paint. The brushes I got from Amazon for under 6 bucks. Poor Hubby, our walls are about to get colorful!
Well, that is about it for me and the sitting position! Oh yeah, I just got a new lap top and can now blog from the comfort of my bed! Yay! I tell ya, good thing sometimes take time.
To you dear read, thank you for the visit. Where ever your journey take you today or this weekend I hope you get there safely. May your world be full of glorious colors. Hugs to you and you and especially YOU!
