Pug Latin

Good morning World! You made it to November 15, 2021 and that is a great thing! This morning it is chilly and 60 degrees but I know the temperature will be heading to a warm Fall like 92 degrees. Really, 90 degrees is really not that bad, you can still go outside and enjoy outdoor activities like golfing or tennis without having to worry too much about withering in the desert sun. It was just right (for the most part) for the Pug Meet Up that was held at University Dog Park this weekend.

Jenny was “here for the party.”

Jenny, our pug, is a social creature. She loves to go for car rides and especially loves going to the og-da ark-pa. (Dog Park in Pug Latin). According to this list of the Hundred Smartest Dogs – Pugs make the list at 108?!!?!? I’m sorry, but Jenny is very smart, she can make us get up and feed, pet, rub her belly, or cover her with a blankey just by looking at us. She even mothers the cats and they go to her when they are hungry so that Hubby will feed them. Our happy little home life. Anyhow, we belong to the C V Pug Meet Up and Vanessa, the organizer and leader of the pack, does such a great job hosting these doggy shin digs.

This is a one minute video of the festivities.
Vanessa even gives out prizes!

It was hard to not smile or laugh as these pint size entertainers. We all proudly spoke to each other about the things that our puggies do like snoring or doing a pug run.

We learned that this puggy was a vegan.

The temps on Saturday morning were mild, but the morning sun was a bit much. The party lasted about an hour and that was the perfect amount of time for our little curly tailed ones. The pug breed does not fair well in heat and I was advised by Jenny’s first veterinarian to make sure she does not get over heated as her breed as well as other short muzzle faced dogs can get heat stroke easily. All I know is that Jenny slept most of the afternoon after the party. Well, she sleeps most of the day, every day.

Honorary Pug.
I love the background that Vanessa had made for future events.

The party ended with the raffle and a group photo. I even won a prize!
